Because we often experience early freezes, some pumpkins are picked early so that there will be pumpkins available throughout October regardless of the weather. You may pick pumpkins from the vine while supply lasts. PLEASE PICK PRODUCE ONLY IN DESIGNATED AREAS! Bring your own cutting utensil. We are not responsible for any injuries sustained in cutting pumpkins. If you pick it, you pay for it. Be careful not to break stems- again, if you pick it and the stem breaks, you pay for it. Please adhere to these rules so that we may continue allowing U-Pick Pumpkins!

To see how the pumpkin plant grows, check out our PHOTOS page. Pumpkins take about 3 months to fully mature. Pumpkin plant flowers are yellowish-orange and the leaves are large to shade the green pumpkins as they grow. When the pumpkins have grown full size, the leaves die so that the pumpkins may ripen in the sun. Depending upon when you visit the farm, you may see the plants in any of these stages of development!
